Corvallis Sunday Devotional Gatherings

"The true worshipper, while praying, should endeavor not so much to ask God to fulfil his wishes and desires, but rather to adjust these and make them conform to the Divine Will. Only through such an attitude can one derive that feeling of inner peace and contentment which the power of prayer alone can confer.”

Festival of Lights

Sunday, December 15, 10:30 a.m.
Zoom Room opens at 10:15

Hanukkah (or Chanukah) is the eight-day Jewish holiday “festival of lights,” and lasts from December 25 – January 2.  Celebrations include a nightly lighting of the menorah candles, special prayers, and food.  The Hebrew word means “dedication” and celebrates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem in the second century BCE.  On Sunday we will share readings from the Torah as well other religious texts.

All are welcome to enjoy fellowship, readings, and discussion.
