Bahá’í events and you
Please continue to reach out to vulnerable friends and neighbors to offer your help, if you can. Look for the helpers, and help them.
Study circles are sessions for learning Baha'i principles, history, and a way of life. Small groups of friends or acquaintences gather together to study the Bahá'í teachings and virtues and to apply them in service to their communities.
The purpose of Bahá'í study circles is to provide participants with the knowledge, spiritual insights, and skills to enable them to contribute to the betterment of society, starting with their own neighbourhoods. To learn more, click here.
The first book in the series of eight, entitled "Reflections on the Life of the Spirit," introduces the student to basic religious concepts of prayer, life and death, and an introduction to the Baha'i Writings, with a focus on universal religious truths.
Here are two examples from that book that students are asked to memorize:
"Truthfulness is the foundation of all human virtues"
"When a thought of war comes, oppose it by a stronger thought of peace."
